Your Confirmation Year

Sunday Class/6:00-6:45 p.m.:

Class led by Pastor Synnott utilizing Zoom to teach an Google Classroom for assignments (memory work, make-up quizzes, videos and announcements). The first unit, September 20-November 22, will be the study of Psalms during which time we will join in God’s Song as we study, pray and listen to His voice in the Psalms.

Holiday Breaks:

There will be no class on November 29 and December 27.

Eighth-Grade Celebrations:

Confession of Faith Service

8th Grade students share their Confessions of Faith along with their Faith Banners in the sanctuary. 

First Communion

TBD

Students will receive their First Communion with their classmates. 

Confirmation Day & Class Picture

TBD

Students will publicly confirm their baptismal faith in Jesus. The formal Confirmation Class picture will be taken in the Main Sanctuary at 10:00 a.m on the same day.

Memory Work Report Card

FALL (Three Sessions): In December, three catechism sessions will be offered. (December 6, 13, 20). At these sessions our youth will be introduced to the Ten Commandments and the First Article of the Apostles Creed. The youth will be trained and equipped to utilize Luther’s Small Catechism through their life.

Fall Workshops, Luther’s Small Catechism (December 6, 13, 20)

Family Partnership Opportunities

MEMORY WORK: Parents will partner with us by teaching and reviewing the catechism memory work. This year’s memory work will focus on the 10 Commandments, Baptism, and Confession and Absolution.

FAITH MENTORS: Seventh- and eighth-grade disciples will have the opportunity to be mentored by an adult follower of Jesus from the Trinity Family of God.
